Many of you talk about Jesus being the first Zombie, in a way you might be right but here are some things to think about. According to Christianity, Jesus did in fact rise from the grave. The thing is he didn’t go and start eating the brains of the Romans who crucified him. He came back as himself just before his crucifixion. According to the story Jesus also ascends to the heavens after his resurrection.
Zombies on the other hand turn into empty vessels when they come back. “The person” that lived inside that body is no longer present. We can say according to religion, that the soul of the person has left the body and went to Heaven or Hell and the body remains on Earth shambling on… This House (body) is being occupied now by the Zombie Agent.
The verdict? Jesus was not a zombie but there is still much controversy about the matter. It doesn’t help that there are passages in the bible that refer to a zombie apocalypse of sorts. Here are a few examples:
The first one is in Zechariah 14: 12-13
“12. And the Lord will send a plague on all the nations that fought against Jerusalem. Their people will become like walking corpses, their flesh rotting away. Their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. 13.On that day they will be terrified, stricken by the Lord with great panic. They will fight their neighbors hand to hand. ”
How about Matthew 27: 51-52
“51.At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart 52.and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. ”
There are lots of references of the dead rising and even destroying men in the Bible. Very interesting stuff we must say. Just remember that when you are looking for something you will always find it anywhere you look. That’s just the way humans are. Zombie or not… Jesus will always be part of the first zombie controversy.
