Since the dawn of time, religion has played a vital and important role in society. Religion has shaped the world that we live in for better or worse, it depends on who you talk to. Today we’re not going to focus on religious beliefs but on the people that are completely obsessed over religion. They’re called Religious Zealots and they will do everything in their power to make sure their beliefs are the only way of life.

When the Zombie Apocalypse comes many will flock to churches, temples and places of worship. Religious Zealots will use this “End of Days” to create a massive army of loyal followers that will do whatever it is that the Zealot demands.  See the problem is not the followers, it’s the message the zealot has in his mind at the moment.  Some zealots will stay just like the one’s we have now but most will try to find the meaning of this zombie plague that God has brought upon us.

This is where the problem starts, A segment of Religious Zealots will firmly believe that zombies are a blessing from God. Believe it or not, many people are preparing for the end of days and however it happens, be it meteors, trumpets or zombies it’s God’s will that this took place in their mind.

Religious Zealots already have substantial power and a vast monetary fund. Some will do whatever it takes to make the Zombie Outbreak turn into an Apocalypse. All it takes is a little bit of ingenuity and you can use zombies strategically just like weapons. They can take zombies and wrangle them up like cattle and drop them in specific places to create disruption.  They can buy out the world while it’s collapsing for the right amount.

So now we have zombies, marauders and a group of religious followers with a man bent on seeing the world end because it is the will of the Gods. Most likely these religious followers will try to convert you. Convert? Well it’s basically like this, you don’t join their club and their cause you will die at their feet, be used as zombie bait or just turn you into a zombie because you are one of God’s chosen creatures of Armageddon.  If you have any qualities that might help their group, they might let you join as they move from town to town converting and taking control of every segment of the population.

I’m sure as time passes our current religions will disappear and new ones will emerge just like in the beginning of times. Although they will be much more directed at the current environment and society that we live in. Don’t be surprised if you are stopped by a bunch of gun carrying monks and asked to join the The Zombie Templar’s. Their motto?

“To accept the zombie into your heart and if you don’t you will be shot on site.”
