Curiosity killed the cat, in this case the monkey. Humans have discovered things and propelled the human race from curiosity. Curiosity is one of the key elements to progress in our world.
In a zombie apocalypse just like in the real world now, curiosity has its drawbacks. Too much curiosity can lead you into dangerous situations. I love these movies where there is a Dark Alley and the Protagonist sees a shadow and says to another: “Come on, Let’s Check It Out!†Then once they get inside the alley, 300 zombies descend upon them and play Marbles with their eyes. Or how about the “Hey I’m going to check the gas station store, while you siphon gas during a zombie apocalypseâ€, Person enters store and what does he/she find, a shit load of Humans turned zombie that did the same thing you just did!
Take measured and calculated risks during a zombie apocalypse. Curiosity can lead you to a cache of Food, Weapons or decent supplies. It can also lead you into the mouth of zombies, the front sight post of a Marauder or in the pit of a Punji stick trap. Assess the situation and your surroundings, if you really don’t need to enter into dark and creepy places or investigate an area just listen to that voice in your head that tells you:
“Umm dumb ass you shouldn’t be doing this, just keep goingâ€
