One of my Agents was recently visiting me in the woods where I was vacationing at my summer home. The poor guy got too much sun and got quite burnt. Apparently, quite painful as well! This is not something I have to worry about as my fur keeps me from getting burnt. But you hairless wonders are at the mercy of the sun when you are outside. I have talked it over with some of my friends and we have come up with a few ideas to help you overcome some of these complications of life out of doors.
Sun screen is of course the logical solution to burn prevention. However you may not be able to stock pile enough for the whole Zompoc or you may not be able to find any to loot.
Keeping covered up and simply avoiding the sun’s rays have always been the best defenses. However, even Robin Williams is not as hairy as I am, so that’s not an option. Only Chuck Norris can dare the sun to burn him and win. Long sleeves and pants work well but they are rarely practical. Sometimes you may have to shed a layer, and in that case, then what? Well, mud makes a good natural cover. For you ladies, I hear it’s really good for the skin.
So, what if you got burnt? Well a sun burn is just like any other burn so needs to be cooled down. Water can be a double edged sword in this situation. While it can cool you off it, can also concentrate light and burn you. Aloe Vera is a naturally cure for sunburn. The juice found in the leaves, when applied to the skin, soothes burns and makes you feel better.
These are just some ideas, it seems like every one has an aunt, grandmother, or other relative that has a remedy and these are just some of mine.
