So you plan to live off the land in the Zompoc, not a bad idea assuming you know what you’re doing and some of you might. I am not here to argue that or to explain how to do so. What I am here to do is explain why you may want to be careful in the early days of the Zompoc.
All over the world harmful chemicals are transported overland by train and truck. They’re stored in tankers and in other containers for transport. Now theses containers are safe for now but there also getting older every year, they’re getting maintained and up kept by people who have the time, money, equipment and know how to do it.
When there on the run who will keep those things up and running? No one will be around to keep the seals on those tankers from corroding and starting to leak and in the end fail. When this happens harmful chemical’s like chlorine, Pesticide, Herbicides, Propane and oil, will spill out and poison the earth the water and the plants.
Animals will eat those plants and drink that water and pick up those same toxins. Farmer’s fields are no guarantee either. Assuming the farmer isn’t there to protect his land, chances are he sprayed his crops with pesticides or herbicides or fungicides that normally get washed off in processing.
I can’t guarantee that you can wash off all poisons or that the water you use won’t always be clean but by washing what you eat, purifying water you use and by searching the area for potentially harmful situations you might just live.
That’s food for thought now I want Food for Stomach
Until Next time Yeti.
