Army combat shirt, TRU-Spec combat pants, and Crye Precision shooters cap in Multi-cam. The gloves are Outdoor Research Overlord fire resistant gloves. Velocity systems plate carrier, 9mm soft armor ( Kevlar ), Steel 7.62X39MSC front, rear, and side plates. Merrell sawtooth boots. S.O Tech MGB (mission go bag) containing: snug-pak, 173 2 3/4″ rifled slugs, chem-water purification kit, lock picking set, bore snake, night owl optics night vision w/ 4 extra 123A 3V batteries, 2 stripped down MREs,and a 32oz. Naglene water bottle, and a black and white shemagh. I also have an extra side rifle plate where the foam pad would be in the bag. The shotty is a Remington express magnum with a 20inch barrel and an EOTech Holo-Sight to reach out the best I can. This is my extremely mobile load out but I can carry way more with my ruck. I guess a good motto would be semper en obscurus which is Latin for always in the dark.

Could use a pistol in closed combat situations but nonetheless, good balance of overall preparation.
Rating him a 9. Needs a broadsword, machete, or anything long and sharp made by Zombie Tools. He can loose the body armour unless he feels threatened by other humans. Replace the shades with Bole goggles.
6. No food prep tools and can’t carry enough water.
He does have food prep, he has 2 field stripped MRE’s. That will give him at least 24 in the field. You want to travel light on recon and supply missions. I’m pretty sure he has military experience which means he knows survival techniques including finding more water (i.e. his water purification kit)…I’d have to give him a 9. I would add a back-up pistol and a knife though.
5 out of ten. You need a backup weapon such as a pistol, in case of CQC. Try and not get close, but sometimes it’s unavoidable.

Are you going lone wolf or team? If you have a team of 5ish people with as much skill and prep as yourself I’d raise it to a 7.
Soldier that’s a good recon kit I won’t say shut cause I know you’ve got more than that especially once you stop by base and get yoit m4 outta the arms room besure to up grade your pistol away from that crappy m9
8/10 in that there is no cqc weapon present and your bag is off the shoulder, easy to snag, easy to grab and we could all use an extra pair of socks. But other than that you’ve got it pretty nailed down.
