What happens when all your plans depend on a viable source of food, Meat! Yes my friends Animals turning into Zombies is one of the worst scenarios that we can encounter for various reasons.
Reason # 1: That deer or Pig you were expecting to kill and eat is no longer available. It will be eaten by Zombies. In “The Walking Dead” show it is shown that Zombies will eat animals. Rats, Horses and Deer were on the menu.
Reason #2: Fluffy and Fido or any other pet you own will turn from best friend to worse enemy. All chances of survival will be zero. A human will eat the pet before they turn, a zombie will eat it and then it turns. My advice would be to humanely put it down or eat it and profit before it goes on a zombie rampage.
Reason #3: Those Animals are coming back as a zombie animal! Imagine you going into the woods and a dozen Zombie Raccoons decide to chase and kill you. One thing is shooting Human Zombies but smaller targets can be a bit difficult to handle especially in large numbers. Let’s not even talk about melee range.
Reason #4: What species of animals will become zombies? Mammals? Reptiles? Everything? Imagine if Mosquitoes turn into zombies. You might as well blow your fucking brains out once you know that Zombie Mosquitoes are the real thing.
Now if you are willing to survive in this Zombie Animal infested world there will be some things you need to do. Replace whatever nutrients meat gives you and eat that. You will basically have to live in a very secure place and I don’t even know where to start. I mean if the Mosquitoes don’t get you, the Fire Ants will.
I hope that if animals turn into zombies they are just man-made engineered thus limiting the supply (resident evil) . It would really suck to live a life where you have to deal with Zombies, Humans and Animals! It doesn’t even sound exciting nor worthy of surviving.

Andrew Kudelka and I did a short horror comic called “Hunting Season” that featured hunters and undead animals at the beginning of the Zombie Apocalypse, which I wrote in 2007. Here is a link to Kudelka’s sketches from 2009, when he started drawing it. http://amkudelka.blogspot.com/2009/06/heres-work-in-progress-of-pencils-and.html
